Cilantro Butter Rice

Cilantro Butter Rice

How do you make rice taste better? As one of the most commonly consumed foods in the world, there are countless ways to cook delicious flavorful rice. For many just a little salt and water is enough, and many times that’s how I make it as well. However when I’m trying to add an extra boost to my meal, I take the extra step of toasting my rice with a little butter and herbs. A common practice in Latin foods, toasting the dry rice before using it gives it an extra boost of nutty flavor. If you add herbs during this step it also gives it another layer of fragrance that will infuse into your final product.. Once the rice is done, feel free to stir in an extra pat of butter to give it an even creamier final touch.
